STS methodology encrypts and separates transaction data into blocks and transmits a highly secure string that is generated only once when the card is used. This string contains transaction data and can only be decrypted by the authorized parties in the transaction chain on a need-to-see basis making the transaction exceptionally secure.

SCT encrypts the entire transaction data at smart card level.

The cost of credit card identity fraud reaches billions of dollars annually and it is constantly increasing. The financial cost to cardholders of card fraud is largely borne by the banking industry, but the personal cost in time, inconvenience and frustration while an incident is investigated results in; being without card/s, waiting for fraudulent expenditure to be reversed or offset, the sense of violation is immeasurable, while the costs will of course be reflected in higher fees to the cardholder. STS is a method where information is separated into blocks encrypted and is unlocked on a need to see basis.

When using STS, all the data is encrypted directly on the spot, in the smart-chip or in the SIM card. No take out first data or sensitive data is ever visible or accessible to any device during the value chain of clearing and settling any value. This critical personal data is thereby withheld from any casual observer in the transaction chain and only decrypted by the card issuer. ViA creates a true End to End Security.

SCT encrypts the entire transaction data at smart card level. Both STS and SCT are ground-breaking processes of executing transactions and all information pertaining to the card. Personal data of the individual is fully secured through STS & SCT’s. This protects consumers from unauthorized use of their ViA Card (stored value card) or a debit or credit card empowered with SCT™

With these methods, the consumer can conduct a transaction on the Internet, mobile phone or direct with a ViA Merchant. Personal details, such as card number/name, etc., are uniquely encrypted in several layers, visible only to the authorized processor. ViA enables instant settlement and clearing of transactions, resulting in reduced cost and fast execution.
